Elisabeth S. Swan, O.D.
Dr. Elisabeth Swan has been practicing optometry since 1991.
She is a graduate of Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon and received her undergraduate degrees (biology and Spanish) from the University of Nevada-Reno.
She is a native Californian, but moved to Nevada as a child, and graduated from high school in Fallon, Nevada where her parents still reside.
She left Reno to join her husband, John Pelsh, who already resided in Fair Oaks, and they were married in July 2001. John proposed to the doctor on top of Mt. Kalapattar, elevation 18,500 feet, while on a trekking trip to Nepal in November 2000. John is a frame representative for REM Eyewear, and has been selling frames for 20 years. He used to sell frames to the doctor when she owned her practice in Reno, and that is how they originally met.
Dr. Swan opened her Fair Oaks practice in October 2001 where she is now a resident. She is a member of the Fair Oaks Chamber Of Commerce, and served on the board of directors for several years. She was honored to receive " Business of the Year " in 2006 by the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking, backpacking, snow-shoeing, bicycling, and traveling. Her great love in life ( besides her husband ) is her dog, "Tips" who is 6 1/2 years old and is a springer spaniel/golden retriever mix who joins John and the doctor on all their adventures.
