Contact Lens Services
Whether you’ve never worn contacts lenses, or are a veteran contact lens wearer we offer the latest products and technology in contact lens wear:
Daily disposable contacts lenses such as Focus Dailies or Acuvue One Day are an excellent option for occasional lenses wearers, patients who suffer from dry eyes or allergies, or any patient who wants hassle – free contact lens wear. Daily contact lenses are even available to change your eye color, or for patients who need bifocals or progressive lenses.
Weekly disposable contact lenses such as O2 Optix or Acuvue Oasys are two of the newer products on the market called “ silicon hydrogel lenses” which allow four to five more times oxygen to the eyes than traditional disposable contact lenses. More oxygen means your eyes stay healthier, and you’re less likely to have dry, red, irritated eyes.
30 Day extended wear contact lenses such as Focus Night and Day of Pure Vision lenses allow a patient to wear contacts up to 30 nights continuously without removal. They are a wonderful option to those who want freedom from glasses are not candidates for laser vision correction.
Cosmetic or costume contact lenses such as Freshlook Colorblends, Acuvue Colors, and Wild Eyes lenses are available for enhancing or changing eye color, or for making your Halloween costume complete with such looks as Red Hot or White Out.
Gas Permeable contact lenses such as Boston XO are smaller, more rigid contact lenses which are an excellent choice for patients who are very farsighted or nearsighted, or have a high amount of astigmatism and cannot be fit with soft contacts lenses. These lenses are also prescribed for patients with eye conditions such as keratoconus, corneal ectasia, failed refractive surgery, or who have had corneal transplants.
Hybrid contact lenses. Synergeyes contact lenses are hybrid lenses with a gas permeable center, and a soft contact lens carrier which give the clarity of a gas permeable contact lens, with the comfort of a soft contact lens. Dr. Swan is certified by Synergeyes to fit patients who have had failed refractive surgery, have keratoconus, or have had corneal transplants. These lenses also just became available for patients who need bifocal or progressive lenses, and allow the patient to see well at all distances.
ASK ABOUT OUR FREE TEST DRIVE
Have you always wanted to try contacts lenses, but aren’t sure if you would really like them enough to wear them? Just let Dr. Swan or one of the staff know you’d like to try contacts, and after a comprehensive vision exam, an appointment can be made for you to come to the office. Dr. Swan will place the contact lenses on your eyes, and you can leave the office for several hours with a trial pair of contacts lenses. This will allow you to try contact lenses in your everyday environment to see if contact lenses are right for you. If you do like the lenses, you can proceed with the actual fitting of the contact lenses. If you don’t care for the contacts, you will not be charged a fitting fee. Many patients who have been anxious about trying contact lenses realize after a free “test drive” how comfortable and wonderful it is to be able to see without glasses, especially if you participate in sports or other outdoor activities.
